Benzaclin update

So I've been using benzaclin for under a week and I've noticed a difference. It's diminished some of the existing acne and prevented a million new guys from popping up. It feels like a small victory but I am still skeptical. I've read reviews that after using it for a while, the product looses effectiveness so that's once concern. I am also concerned that this product is harsh and I am not sure what damage I am doing to the skin long term.

I am going to keep going for a month before I make my final decision. The ideal result is that this helps keep my acne down and I get to a point where I would only have to spot tread. A girl can dream right?

Long Weekends are Awesome

So far the weekend has been low key with lots of relaxing and it went a little something like this:
  • Pamper myself --> @home manicure, bath soak, silly face masks & grooming eyebrows
  • Spend time w/ the bf --> Random errands and lots of eating
  • Catch up with friends --> Saw friends I hadn't seen in months
  • Clean up --> Put clothes away & pulled out clothes I don't ever wear to donate. My closets are overflowing & I don't even wear half of the things I have in there. The items I do like get lost somewhere in heaps of other clothes
  • Work out --> Sticking to my goal of working out for an hour a week not including yoga
  • Watched lots of tv --> I am a tv junkie and spent most of Saturday watching t.v.
  • Watched Slumdog Millionaire --> Now I understand the hype around the movie

Still to do:
  • Make hummus --> healthy snacking for the week & I get to incorporate it in my work lunches.
  • Do a little bit of work --> I don't like working from home but getting a little ahead will prevent me from pulling my hair out during the week
  • Family meal --> Think I'll go out for lunch w/ the family today. It is after all Family Day.

So one, I have too much time on my hands and second, I am determined to save money & get all those elusive things such as a house, sunny vacations, that designer bag, mac makeup and retire comfortably. Well things may not pan out as hoped but those are some of my goals. Vain!? Call it whatever you want but this is me & I figure posting some thoughts online will help me stay on track.

Here are my stats as it is:
  • 26 year old girl
  • Graduated from university last year with a hefty OSAP loan (~$30K)
  • Paid it all off (saved every penny from internship & was able to pay it off before interest kicked in)
  • As a result I am in a good position of having no debt
  • Doing that 9-5 routine to pay the bills & save
  • Started investing as of 2 months ago. Some will say this is early but I still wished I had picked this up earlier.
So yes I graduated from university last summer and left wide eyed with a job I started after taking a few weeks vacation to celebrate graduating. Awesome right? Yes but then the reality of being an adult kicked in. Work, health plan, retirement plans, should I rent now questions and all those other dreary things you pushed off for as long as possible set it. Things I never thought about or even really had any knowledge about before all of this.

And so this is where I am in life. Suddenly realizing I am adult & need to start thinking long term. When I was in school, it was about that next exam which was a few weeks down the road. Now it is about buying that car, getting that house and other things which are possibly years down the road :S
